Rob Pickup
Managing Director

Rob has an extensive understanding of all aspects of building, and works closely with builders, architects and clients to achieve stand-out results.
His focus is quality control and customer satisfaction. Rob’s commitment to high-quality customer service was developed over his 25-year career. A qualified power and plant engineer, he has more than 20 years’ production management experience, and has worked in the building industry since the mid-1990s. Rob, and business partner Nick Scott, bought Total Timba Joinery in 2004 and continue to invest significantly in personnel, equipment and materials, as well as research and development for joinery to meet New Zealand standards such as NZS 4211.

 

Harley Bucknell
Production Manager

Personable, conscientious and reliable, Harley is responsible for all site measures, production management and liaison with builders, architects and clients. He is absolutely dedicated to assisting builders, architects and homeowners to find the best solution for their projects.
A qualified joiner, he is a trusted name in the industry. Though Harley is more management focused these days, at times he still uses his extensive practical skills and experience in a hands-on role.

 

Our production team

Every one of our joiners holds a qualification or is an apprentice.  We have significant team of qualified joiners and apprentice joiners. Each has special skills, accomplishments and experience that bring added value to our customers. As a team, they have:

  • New Zealand trade certification in joinery, timber machining and furniture making
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in traditional joinery manufacturing techniques (including in the United Kingdom).

We are committed to employing and training apprentices.  In 2009 and 2010, we won four awards in the Master Joiner Awards’ apprentice categories: Best Timber Project 0-4000 hours and the People’s Choice Award in the same category (2009); Best Timber Project 4000-8000 hours and the Best Presented Entry Board (2010).
